Jason McCoy is a two-time CCMA Male Artist of the Year, a JUNO Award winner, radio personality and 35-year veteran of the Canadian music industry whose career has been defined by versatility, longevity and an unmistakable connection to his audience.

Growing up in Minesing, Ontario, McCoy was inspired by the well-rounded artistry of classic entertainers like Roger Miller, Johnny Cash and Glen Campbell. At 19, he set out to carve his own path, going on to earn multiple CCMA and CMA awards, a Canadian Gold-certified album (Playin’ For Keeps) and the CMA Global Artist Award.

Now, McCoy is bringing together some of North America’s most celebrated voices with, “We Are One,” a powerful musical collaboration created in support of World Vision Canada. Written by McCoy and Jim Payetta, the song features the legendary Harlem Gospel Choir alongside an impressive lineup of Canadian artists and friends, including Michelle Wright, Gordie Johnson, Chad Brownlee and many more. “We Are One” is the sound of hope and love - ultimately, it is an uplifting musical celebration of humanity, connection and our ability to create meaningful change when we come together.

McCoy’s influence on Canadian country music is perhaps best exemplified by The Road Hammers, the best-selling band in Canadian country music history, which he created and fronts. Under his leadership, the country-rock trio achieved unprecedented success across Canada and the United States, earning a Canadian Platinum-certified album, three CCMA Group of the Year awards and a JUNO Award.

Beyond recording and touring, McCoy has built an equally successful career in broadcasting. His work in radio earned national recognition with his 2025 CCMA Award win for Country Personality of the Year, while his syndicated show, Nothin’ But the 90s, continues to reach audiences across the country through Orbyt Media.

McCoy is also co-owner of Skysong Records, a boutique label built by artists, for artists. He launched the label alongside Road Hammers bandmate Clayton Bellamy, platinum-selling indie artist Dan Davidson, and Calgary-based music executive and philanthropist Craig Senyk.

After more than three decades in the spotlight, Jason McCoy continues to evolve while staying true to the music, storytelling and community that have defined his career.
